Re: lug nut/rim size for new 1000

I've heard that the bolt pattern is the same, Larger diameter studs, 12" wheels won't fit due to the larger brakes.

Same brake as the scrambler 850 I'm guessing so 14's a must

Re: lug nut/rim size for new 1000

Confirmed the new RZR 1000 has a 14" wheel with a 4x156 lug pattern. The studs are 12mm by I believe 1.5 pitch. The 12" wheels will not fit due to the larger break package. NXG wheels are boxed and ready to be placed on that new RZR 1000 you just purchased. NXG offers a 14"x6" or a 14"x7" black powder coated wheel. Finished off with black zinc coated hardware and a paint ready raw finished ring. Check us out on Facebook for all our updates at www.facebook.com/nxgwheels or check out NXGwheels.com to see all of our products.

Re: lug nut/rim size for new 1000

So not a M10 x 1.25mm thread as the Scrambler 850...RZR900's are a 3/8 unf M10.

Never seen a M12 x 1.5 thread on a quad!!!!

Re: lug nut/rim size for new 1000

so if took a 14" wheel that fits a 900
will it not fit on the new 1000 because the studs are bigger?

looking to place an order for 14" HiPer wheels
not sure now if ill need some special lug nuts or if the stock ones will work with these wheels
or do I need to wait until the correct wheels are available

Re: lug nut/rim size for new 1000

i went and ordered HiPer wheels
14x10 5+5 4/156 wheels for the rear
and 14x9 5+4 4/156 wheels for the front

going to be running the 28" STU paddles and ribbed steer tires

hope I don't have any issues with the wheels

Ya, but without chucking them up in a mill, you'd NEVER get them exactly centered and champhered, and they'd be working-loose all the time. My two-bits.......

Cheers

Re: lug nut/rim size for new 1000

Couple things...not sure hiper makes a 10" wide wheel and the 14's only come in double bead lock so that takes up alot of the inside diameter of the wheel..I ran I to this with a wildcat and had to modify the caliper to make them work. I would wait before spending that kind of coin.

Re: lug nut/rim size for new 1000

I have a big trip planned September 13

and am already risking that the 1000 I have money down on will be on time as well

plus I believe my 900 stock wheels where 6" inset and from the pictures the 1000 wheels look to have not much offset aswell

how much do you think the ring sticks out compared to a non beadlocking wheel?

so I guess im ALL IN!

well not quite, I haven't sold my 900 yet

Re: lug nut/rim size for new 1000

im also hopeing the 12mm is not correct

seems kind of big to have almost a 1/2 stud

and maybe the hub is piloted for the wheel and if not

if I do drill them out the holes should be tapered and keep it strait enough for me

I've done it a ton of times. You're only drilling them out a little bit. Works just fine.

Re: lug nut/rim size for new 1000

The studs are nearly 1/2 inch on the xp1000 same as on the Ranger
I confirmed this with the Polaris engineer at Dunefest.
