Usa Highlifter Tender Springs

Can anyone tell me if the rear Highlifter brand tender springs are longer and/or beefier than the front ones? Looking at pics in another thread, they appear to be, but would like to know for sure. The pictures on HIghlifter's site are not the actual springs.

I installed the Highlifter 3-5" Signature Lift Kit and the rear tenders on the front and rear (Highlifter tech support's recommendation) on my 16' HLE 4 seater and my front is too high. I know it will settle some, but i think it is going to be an issue with the extreme angle.

I tried having the top collar backed out all the way, but the bigger springs rub the frame so I have to crank them down about an inch to clear. I think if the front tenders are slightly shorter or a little less stout, it will be perfect.

Thanks!

Re: Highlifter Tender Springs

Yes the front tenders have a couple less coils than the rears. And they will settle alot if you have your collars set soft.
Here's the fronts compared to my 2015 hle front:

And here's the rear:

Re: Highlifter Tender Springs

Thanks for the response! I was actually going to send you a PM since these are the pics I was talking about, but decided on a new thread instead. I may let it go and see how fast they settle then. Just don't want to break an axle.

Interesting......the stock HLE 4 seat front and rear tenders are the size of your stock fronts.

Re: Highlifter Tender Springs

They will settle with a quick trip around the yard, just do a few quick take offs and hard stops.

Re: Highlifter Tender Springs

So Justin what difference in ride can you tell with the new springs versus the stock highlifter Springs.

Re: Highlifter Tender Springs

If you run the preload soft, they are noticeably softer riding at slow speeds. I'm sure they don't compare to stock therapy or some of the other more expensive brands out there, but for my big mud rig they made it seem like a Cadillac.
I definitely noticed more suspension travel. Here's a pic before I changed cages....all 4 tires were solid on the ground. Trailer deck is roughly 24" high at the fender where my front tire is at. Both rear tires were on the ground, touching the back of the trailer.

Haven't made it out yet. Nowhere really to ride close to the house, so not sure when it will be. I can't imagine it won't be night and day though.

Re: Highlifter Tender Springs

They made a very noticeable difference in my ride. I would recommend them to everyone that doesn't plan on going thru a complete re-do on the shocks..

.. Money well spent.

Re: Highlifter Tender Springs

I have them on my 17 HL. They made a world of difference in the ride. I have mine almost backed off completely and it still holds it higher than the others cranked down.

Re: Highlifter Tender Springs

Yes, Night and day difference....well worth the money. Only bad part is you will need a spring compressor for the fronts....I just bought a cheap one from Harbor Freight.

You say "night & day" can you describe the ride difference better?

Re: Highlifter Tender Springs

I just came across this thread. Are you talking about replacing the stock tenders with High Lifter brand ones. I have a 2015 High Lifter which has a ton of aftermarket parts and my tenders are totally compressed just from the vehicle weight.
