Re: New paint job

Turned out awesome. Any problems with the paint as far as bubbles or chipping? I assume you painted the stock green plastics. What's next?

Re: New paint job

That looks awesome. Love the flames with hidden faces. Sweet. I hope it holds up. The salesman that I bought mine from had the first generation RZR. He wanted to paint it Polaris Special Edition Stealth Black. But the factory plastic wouldn't hold paint cause of oil or something. He had to buy aftermarket paintable plastic. I think he went with fullbore. I wonder if Polaris changed their plastic formula. I hope the beautiful work you've done holds. Congrats on the flame job.

Re: New paint job

Thanks!!!!

Yeah you could say I am a little more cautious of were and how I abuse it. I am still fine tuning my airbrush skills so I wouldn't be to upset to do it again.

Re: New paint job

Nice paint job! Love the flames!

I've got some airbrushing time under my belt as well... Hope to someday paint a RZR plastics and quad plastics.

My website is GSAIRWERX - Home check it out. Nothing more than a bunch of R/C car bodies... and in reverse at that!

Re: New paint job

Thanks for your comments!!

Sandaddict it took me a day to get it prepped litteraly ,but I had to do some Primimg due to some deep scratches that I had in the plastic ,then it also took a full day to do the paint work on it there is aprox 10 layers of color and clear coat be patient and it will look great ,it took me about 3 months to get the real fire look down .

Generalg looks like you can handle a RZR paint job AtV paint job ,nice work yourself ,I too am R/C Nut ,something new comes out I gotta have it ,I've done alot of custom painting over the years but with the use of fineline tape and multicolors ,I have been doing the airbrush Somewhat hard core for about 5 months now,it isn't near as hard as I let myself beleive it was just takes lotz of practice.

I manage Xtreme Collision In Plano,TX , we are teamed up with Sherwin Williams Paints which has a line of paints called Planet Color they are the alternative to House of Kolor .seems to work great on the plastics so far I have painted 3 RZR's and have one here to paint now going with REAL FLAMES but going to use Candy Red instead of the Tangerine should be sweet I'll post pics when I get it finished up !!

thanks again for your comments!!
