Re: Will it fit into a truck?
This is a great thread- I think it come down to what a guy needs to get the job done.. Here in CA you can't exceed 55 with a trailer anywhere ever, so that's a big pain. In our case, the desert car in the pic wouldn't fit in the toyhauler, and my sweet wife wouldn't agree to a bigger trailer, so I built this rack- not pretty, but it got the job done. Now that we're getting a RZR that will fit in the truck bed, I'll transport it in there when we don't take the toyhauler..

Re: Will it fit into a truck?
YES they will fit... Heres mine in the back of my 2007 ford f150 with a 6.5 foot bed... A very tight fit... Just make sure you put something between the back of your rzr and the truck or you will go through the window....

Re: Will it fit into a truck?
I had a welder make a hitch thing to support the ramps. With out it there would be a lot of weight on the tail gate while loading. Wanted him to make an extension to connect to the bed (over the gate) but never got around to it. So I just had to make one out of wood. Since the gate was higher then the bed turned into a fun exercise. (2 x 12 notched for wheel wells and supported at end of bed with 2 x 4) Bowed upwards. Supported by more wood at end of gate on top of hitch support) If there was duct tape involved it would be perfect. I will try to take a picture and post when I get back in ten days.

Re: Will it fit into a truck?
I just picked up my 09 long bed dodge. I measure just about 60 1/4" at the tailgate. The RZR appears to measure about 62" outside of tires. May be a slight load on it. So the key is ratcheting the control arms together? Easier to do with a jack, then ratchet tight I would assume..May be a little more trouble out in the sand when leaving? Putting the load on the tail gate or removing? Using heavy duty ramps?

Re: Will it fit into a truck?
Ratchet tie the a-arms (you can do it without a jack- just push up as you go)
750 lbs folding 7.5 ft alum ramps. ![]() I choose to winch it in for safety and ease.

Re: Will it fit into a truck?
I usually dont run the gate. I have a long bed.
If I did- I would add an extra support from the latch to the latch striker. Another bar or cable for 2 on each side. Do not rely on the single cables only. For loading only - no problem with my Ford gate.

Re: Will it fit into a truck?
Great set up 'Total Loss'...I was thinking about winching it in also....but I don't have an anchor point. That looks like a good one in the pic. Did you purchase that or was it fabbed? Also, I see you have the winch line going back...where is that attaching to? Is the hook like a winch block? Is is easier than just attaching the winch hook to the anchor?

Re: Will it fit into a truck?
If i defate all my tires i can close my tailgate. The width i have bout inch n a half to spare on each side. I do have an 01 chev dually so im not sure if that matters.

Re: Will it fit into a truck?
my S fits on the back of my mega cab. I never "ride" up or down on the rams, way too dangerous. I use my XT30 with remote to pull it into the back as well as let it out nice and slow while I stay clear.

Re: Will it fit into a truck?
Some more.
6x6 wood blocks stacked on the bumper. ![]() ![]() Snatch strap I had laying around wrapped around the rear bumper- allows the winch to actually pull the rear upward over the wheelwells and acts as a tie in for the car. If you do not have this setup- the winch (due to my low mount point on the bed floor) will try to pull the ft wheels down when they hit the wheelwells of the truck-bed. With this setup- I do not even have to be in the car when loading. I walk along side it and steer as it goes in.
