Couple pics of my soft cab on a 2012

I installed the Pure Polaris soft cab and the Kolpin Full Tilt windshield for winter driving. I don't plan on heating the cab just wanted something to keep the wind off. How do you think it looks?

Re: Couple pics of my soft cab on a 2012

That looks great...Is it possible to get just the doors? I already have the sport hard roof......do you think the doors would work with all roofs? Also, on the inside of the door, is there any way to rest your arm while driving? Probably sounds like a silly question, but man would I love to have an armrest of some type!! Thank for sharing the pics!

I don't think you can buy the door separate. And no, there isn't an arm rest. The windows do zip down so that is a nice feature.

I think you'll be happy with it. I've had mine since the end of 07. Only use it during the cold months, but it has held up nicely. The only issue is the plastic windows are starting to yellow a bit.

Is there anything out there to use on them or have you found any ways you like to store them?

Thanks for your post,

John...

Re: Couple pics of my soft cab on a 2012

I don't know of any product that would keep them from yellowing. I've always been afraid to try any spray or anything, fearing it would react with the plastic. I will tell you to really rinse them well. Use microfiber or something that wont scratch when you clean them. You don't want to push dirt around on them. That has kept them in descent shape. If you run with the side widows down, you might wrap something around the side bars, as that has caused some scuffing on mine. Overall I'm happy with the way they've held up. Still clear, with minimal scuffs or scratches.

Re: Couple pics of my soft cab on a 2012

judging from some of the other QC issues that Polaris has experienced, I would not guess the plastic windows to be of any mentionable quality.

You need a boat window or an automotive convertible top window. Both have UV protectants and will last for years being outside in the sun and rain, etc, especially the marine version. Look at that environment compared to using yours a few months out of the year and its already starting to turn yellow.

EDIT: for cleaning, a microfiber cloth is very good as it will pick up the dirt and not drag it across the window creating scratches. Warm water and car wash soap (not dish liquid) should do fine for cutting the dirt, I would not use something like 409 or windex, etc. Maybe Simple Green would be ok, not sure whats in it, but I would pick something like that if I was going to use a bottled cleaner.

To protect the top you could use something like a NIKWAX, which is a waterproofing spray and protectant, helping to keep the material clean and come clean easier.

Are the doors removable on this cab ? And how loud is it in the cab when driving ?
