Performance Improvements?????

For those of you with experience on the RZR 800 S... What are the best hop up mods? I want am looking to improve my low end. I do a lot of hill climbing, rock crawling, woods riding. I am considering the EPI clutch, a full exhaust, and fuel controller. Any other thoughts or ideas?

Clutch. Don't waste your money on the exhaust and fuel controller.

Re: Performance Improvements?????

I agree on the exhaust... From what I have seen their isnt enough improvement to justify other than a shiney exhaust hanging out the back! If I went all out excluding motor work and put the throttle body in maybe, but I'm not going that route.
I did speak with EPI today and they told me they dont have a kit ready for the 2012 yet. Apparently Popo changed the primary in the 12 due to motor modifications? so... call back in a month or so! NOT
Anyone else have a clutch in their 12 model yet? I see DFR makes a kit. I'll have to call them. Surely someone has tested springs and weights?

Re: Performance Improvements?????

Clutch, Air Intake, Dynatek 5 and leave the S Exhaust alone, it works perfect!

If you go with the correct exhaust you'll notice a 4-6 horsepower gain, but you can't expect that gain from all the exhaust manufactures.

X2 A good clutch set up can give you some good low end grunt. If and when you want to go bigger power BB or Turbo.

Re: Performance Improvements?????

Well...I get it TURBO or Big Bore will definately make this thing walk off from the stockers! That would be the solution if I lived somewhere with a large open area(ie..dunes), but mine is a woods rzr and will see a ton of hills and rocks! The clutch pretty much is priority 1. I will look into the dynatek 5 next. I already have installed a UNI on the stocker intake box and will be looking close at changing out the intake. Thanks for your help. Ohh, I did speak with DFR today and their clutches are EPI, so no dice. Guess I will have to wait on EPI.

Re: Performance Improvements?????

Check throttle cable adjustment, I gained 600 rpm, a lot better take offs and better response.
