Re: rzr-s bed removal

thats too many steps...... here is the easy way.....

1 remove both seats.....take the 4 torxs screws out of the top edge of bed behind were the seats rest.

2. goto the back remove the 4 torx holding it to the frame (around the muff area) dont remove the entire rear section its not nessasary.

3. under the left side of the bed their is a conector for the tail light wires unplug it.

4. were the bed mounts to the body on the fron side their are 3 or 4 push pin retainers take them out.

5. in the bed their are 4 bolts hex head remove them and now pull bed off.. its easy and after you do it a time or two it only takes 10 to 15 min

I don't know why the manual tells you to remove the back panel and the rocker covers. The back panel & bed come off together.
Using a cordless driver, the right bits (T27 & 1/2" socket) & the pliers that came in the toolkit I can do it in under 4 minutes.

Re: rzr-s bed removal

I can get mine off in about a minute... I bobbed the rear pieces that are around the exhaust/ under the taillights... they stay on.. I take the (4) 13mm bolts out w/ a battery powered impact, change the socket to torx, pull those (4) out behind the seats, undo the lights, pull the rivets at lift the bed off...I take it off often when washing...:greenrzr:

Re: rzr-s bed removal

Thanks for the instructions. Last time I tried I had all kinds of unecessary stuff off. What about the rear cage frame on the S? Does it need to come off first?

Re: rzr-s bed removal

I have only had my off one time as I just got it. It was the first thing I did so I could check clamps, hose what ever I could to make sure all was good. I had the bed off but could not seem to get it out with out removing the back part of the roll bar.

Maybe some one who has pulled it off more then me can give us more insight.

Can anyone give more insight into whether or not the back part of the cage must be removed to get the bed off??? Is there an easier way?
