2016 1000S Springs

I have been following all the issues with the poor stock springs on these units. Mine seems to be same. When the small springs compress and they don't un-compress, giving me less ground clearance and a harsher ride. I know I can go with shock therapy or another good company and remedy the problem. My question: Is there a lower priced fix? I've seen a few things posted about other RZR springs. My budget is stretched thin. Thanks for the help

Don't go cheap on the strings. Not sure if there is anything even out there cheaper than RacerTech. Just under $600. Save up. You won't regret it.

fox makes spring upgrades. its 250 for rear and 250 for the front. you can just get the rears first. also bandit spring kit for all 4 shocks is like 360.

Re: 2016 1000S Springs

i would actually like to just replace the rear setup with a single progressive spring like the 2017's have. i just have not found a replacement for the 2016's that go that route.

Why do you think the 17 S's have better springs(if you're talking S's)? I had enough whoop time the past two weekends to realize they are still too soft. I went 3 positions both ways on the WE shocks, and noticed no difference. I have videos to show mild landings bottom out stock 17 S springs.

I have MakinTrax/Kings on my 800, and can still hear the shocks work, and only bottom out with a hard hit.

With all things considered, my stock S still kills the 800. I had a 17YO first timer on the 800, while I was cruising, and thought he was going to eat the ground.

the springs may not be great but im sure it rides better then a collapsed tender spring. on the 16's

Re: 2016 1000S Springs

good points by all. I certainly don't want to pay for more of the same. I haven't thought about just replacing the rears. I haven't really examined the fronts for sacking. If there are all the same quality all probably need replacing

We cant decide by just looking, but here's a factory 17 set up.

Fronts...

Rears...

I can't wait until the season of Spring hits. More rocks, trees, dust to deal with.

Not to change topic. From the picture it looks like your machine has the new improved cam chain tensioner.

We have a spring kit option that is dual rated front and rear but the kit can be broken up if you only want to address the rear.
