Re: 2012 XP 900 drive shaft Center Support / Carrier Bearing Replacement

Could someone post a photo of how the 2012 bearing is mounted? I'd prefer adapting my 2011 to the 2012 style..which is an actual automotive isolated D/S hanger bearing versus the 2011 pillow block style( if feasable ). I know it mounts completely different..would just like to see how they designed the mount.

does that toyota bearing have a grease zert? if not its going to break down just as fast as the stock one. not saying that the pillar block bearing i have is the best way to fix the issue but its greasable and that means a lot to us guys that submerge this things in water and mud

The timken bearing does not have a grease fitting. I'll probably have to go to a pillow block eventually. This was a quick fix & the bearing was only $78 at autozone. Here is a pic of where the 2012 bearing mounts.

The pillow block 119 bearing is only 80 bucks and only thing you have to do is get a bolt a half inch longer and it bolts right up. And then for us water/mud guys pop 3/4 hole in the side of the shifter console and easy greasing during maintenance

Do you have a manufacturer and part number for this bearing?

There are several company's that make pillow block bearings. Basically just go to your local napa or parts store and tell them you want a "119 pillow block bearing". This is the style bearing used on bush hogs of many brands so it's just all you got to tell them that's what your looking for and they can get you going

Re: 2012 XP 900 drive shaft Center Support / Carrier Bearing Replacement

Would this one work on the 2011? http://www.amazon.com/Browning-VPE-119-Bearing-Eccentric-Contact/dp/B007PVAH1E/ref=reg_hu-rd_add_1_dp Does the pillow block come close to hitting anything? Not sure if I would need one with a shorter profile than this? Thanks for any input on this, I need one for my trip to Nevada this month and would like to have a spare.

So to be clear, this 119 Pillow Block will fit the 2011 correct? Going riding this weekend and mine just went out last weekend. Not many hours, bit of a let down.

I went ahead and got this one: http://www.amazon.com/Browning-VPE-119-Bearing-Eccentric-Contact/dp/B007PVAH1E/ Hopefully it will fit. I will keep it with me for spare parts for now.

Have your dealer install the Carrier bearing out of a 2003 Tacoma 4 x 2. The Polaris part was on back order until 5/10/12, but they keep extending it.
