I am new to the XP 900 and love it. I got a general off road vehicle air filter question. Why is it that Polaris uses and typical paper filter like that of an automobile for off road use and all other mfrs use a foam with oil filter. It seems to me that the foam with oil would caputre the dirt better. Just my opinion. Are there better aftermarket filtering systems for the 900?

It does not capture dirt better, lots of threads about this. A few people have swore up and down that the foam uni's are the worst filter ever. Apparently off-road baja trucks use paper filters as well.
