Most do so, but most upgrade springs before doing so. You can always experiment, buy just disconnecting it, tieing it up and ride it. I personaly wouldn't untill I got better springs, stock ones are junk, junk, junk!
To test the ride and see for yourself do as suggested above. You only need to disconnect the lower end of the link on one side only and zip-tie it up out of harms way and go riding. Very quick and easy to dis/re connect. I pulled my front and rear after getting A/M springs and I do not miss them at all. You will definitely notice more body roll in hard/fast corners but the suspension will articulate better in rocky situations.
I took my front sway off. I have good shocks and springs installed on my 50" and I noticed no difference in high speed cornering. The handling off road and on rocks is so much better. I keep traction in 4x4 and stay flatter.
Watching it go down a rocky trail I think it is easier on the frame as well not staying so stiff.
