newb here new 570 delivery today!!

Hi there i just bought a new rzr 570 last night. I was gonna bring home but while loading it a bolt fell off!!

So needless to say i told them to keep it and find out where the hell it came from.

The first kid that came out told me "oh ok we find bolts on these all the time i dont have a clue where they come from"

I realy hope this isnt a reflection on the future of this machine. Ive owned 4 other polaris products over the last 7 yrs and all were perfect.

see you guyes around

Re: newb here new 570 delivery today!!

Unfortunately the quality control at the Polaris leaves a little to be desired. Do a good once over of your rzr before the first ride. There is a lot of info on the forum that can tell you what to look for. At the end of the day I don't believe you will be disappointed. I am really pleased with mine. Welcome!

I found three or four extra screws and bolts on ours when we brought it home. Just extra parts I guess. I haven't found anything loose or missing.

Welcome! Yes, it could be a very good reflection of the future of that machine, lol. Or maybe not.... Go over it really well when you get it back. Many of us have found loose things or similar "overlooks". Find the post on this forum on things to look for on 570's or something like that. It will be a great machine eventually, you'll know what I mean in a few months. They are far from perfect but sadly , RZR's are still the best sport side by sides on the market.

Here is that thread: http://www.rzrforums.net/rzr-570-spe...faq-alert.html

Why it isn't a "sticky" in the 570 forum itself, I dunno . Very good info !

It's a Polaris. If anyone else had built a 50 inch, I would have looked at that. But, now that I have found the screw ups, I rather like it.

see you guys around
I picked up my 2012 570 and noticed before loading (gave it a thorough preflight) the clamp on the hose feeding cooling air to the tranny was just hanging on the hose; that was installed properly in a minute. And about the 4 hour mark of operation the bolt holding the primary clutch onto the engine driveshaft worked loose; left me stranded in Moab but surrounded by people willing to help. Turned out someone had forgot to lock-tite that bolt. Dealer had it back together in an hour, nothing damaged.
Like you, this is my 3rd Polaris and I really have no major complaints. And my dealer (Triple-S Polaris) is wonderful.

What I would recommend is that you put at least 5 to 10 hours of break-in/shake-down on it, without going out of cell-phone service and somewhere you can't get to with your truck and trailer if you have to recover it. Ride it hard and easy; follow the manual's break-in instructions.

As far as finding spare parts, when I took the spare tire out of the trunk of my brand-new (1974) German-built Mercury Capri, I found a Heineken bottlecap painted into the spare-tire well... Like the guy who found the pliers under the skid plate, inspect it well but don't lose any sleep over it.

Re: newb here new 570 delivery today!!

hey thanks for all the welcomes! I will be tearing into the unit this weekend to check all wiring brake lines radiator bolts and such.

ok it appears that i have the 3 peice pretsile intake tube which appears by design to be weak. And i think the fact the airbox throttle body and fillter all seem to be upside down from automotive in design.
It makes me think its not just the crappy tube but the fact its a downhill run for water and mud and the air comes into the filter box from the top not the bottom like my trucks all have.
And when it gets there its got gravity to push down into a box with a giant hole to the engine(TB)
