How do you clean the black plastic?

It's such a PITA to get the black plastic/seats completely clean. I'm afraid to take the pressure washer to it. How do you clean it efficiently?

Don't be afraid, wash it with your pressure washer then treat it with Mothers "Back to Black" it will look like new!

Re: How do you clean the black plastic?

We pressure wash our rzr170 put we cover the seats, but polaris say it not good,if you are going to use it be careful not touching any wires, but the old way will help a bucket of water and soap will do the trick.

Re: How do you clean the black plastic?

Spray it all down with simple green, let it sit for a few minutes but don't let it dry. Use a light bristled brush to hit the places you can reach. Then if you really want it to shine spray it with Maxima SC1.

WD40 the whole rig. Seats, All underneath, axles, Arms, everything. Wipe off the excess in a few hrs. I buy it by the gallon and apply with a pump sprayer. the next day, when the plastic absorbs the WD, she looks showroom new. And mud dont stick ! Wouldnt advise WD`in and going on a dusty ride ! ya look like a dirt cookie in 5 minutes ! GF bitches because the floorboard is always slippery . . . Oil well

Re: How do you clean the black plastic?

I am a huge fan of Pledge for plastic, windshield, roll bar, dash etc. Wash off dirt with water and than pledge the whole thing. Use a white t shirt to buff later. Looks mint. used to do that to my old Arctic Cat H1 that was all black. always looked good.

wash them with water.. then spray it with "tire wet" and wipe off.. they look like new when your done, and stay that way for several washes.. very quick and simple.. I do this on all of my rzr's and they look great.

Re: How do you clean the black plastic?

Clean it with purple stuff mixed with 50% water. Once dry spray it with Pledge. I use Pledge on all the plastic. It shines and does not collect dust. I got the idea from the owner’s manual.

Trim Shine, all you do is spray and walk away. the plastic will soak it up.
