I'm sure I can figure how to get it done eventually through trial and error.
Is there instructions or a tutorial?
Any tips or recommendations on how to do it?

10 minute job- takes about as long to take the chain off and remount as it does to change sprocket. take the chain off , unbolt the original sprocket , slide the spacer on then the sprocket and install both snap rings , only tools you will need are a decent snap ring plier and a wrench/socket (10mm maybe?) The second snap ring will be snug and it should be , put the trans in N and rotate the shaft and make sure the second snap ring is seated. Re install your chain, you may need to adjust it a little and you will want to have your chain a little on the snug side since your counter sprocket is now a smaller diameter , hence less surface area /teeth to grip/grab the chain and will allow the chain to slip easier on the sprocket and kinda keep an eye on it as well.

Two different chains out there, depending where it was assembled. Regardless, both should be a simple masterlink. Check YouTube about removing and installing a motorcycle chain with a masterlink. There are pressed link chains as well, different animal. Also, having a chain tool makes the job a lot easier when pressing the links back together, although there are some neat tricks using a C-clamp and a small bolt. Again, just search YouTube videos.

Jack up the back of your rzr and make sure you can spin the wheels Loosen the bolts that hold the axle to the swing arm , push/roll the axle forward (towards the engine) this should give you some slack in your chain . Now take the chain and pull it sideways off of the axle sprocket and spin the wheels by hand backwards , it will roll the chain off and now you can take it off the counter sprocket. to put it back on simply reverse the process..and it can get a little greasy..

Wow, much better idea! Yeah, that chain tensioner holds a lot of slack.

I thought I would have to add a link to the chain when I put a 2" lift on ours over the last few months. The instructions say to and it came with an extra link (wrong size). But after getting the new one and installing it, it was just way to loose. So I took the extra link off and back out the adjustment. With the tensioner in there, it looks like it'll work well. After all this snow melts, we'll get it out there and run a few laps to get a better idea.
