Hi Fellow Rzr owners! I have a problem with my kids baby Rzr 170. Its a 2010 and has been fine for the last several years. It died on the kids when they were out last time and would not start back up. Since then I have cleaned the carb, rejetted with 40/110 jets and checked all the gas lines. It does attempt to turn over and will actually start when I spray some starter fluid. When I remove the gas line coming from the fuel pump it is dry. Is there a way to verify that the fuel pump works?
Also I did get it to start the other day but when I pressed on the gas it would rev up, down, up and down then stay idle. Not sure if that would help.
This baby Rzr is mainly a desert runner as I live in Southern California.
Thanks. Ill see if I can find one and give it a shot. Anything to get this puppy running better. With the new jets it already responds much better and starts up a little quicker.
I assume they do , I know I would have to start ours several times after it set for a few days before it would keep running and now it fires right up and doesn't stall .
I bought the new Mikuni carb and it bolted right up. It does appear to start a little quicker which is great. However I am still having issues getting it to run properly. When I put it into gear and I try to get it going it acts as if it is choking. The choke is off but I cant get around it. I will have to play with the throttle today and see if maybe its getting stuck.
I have already swapped the stock jets. Went with the 40/110 combo and it works great. I was messing with it yesterday and noticed that when I run it with the filter it is acting up. I remove the filter and the little guy wants to run like there is no tomorrow. I figured I might have to play with the A/F setting to get it right.
If running better without filter(assuming it clean) I would suspect it's running rich. I always jet to wot and go from there. Start with warmed up motor, toss in brand new plug and run wot for at least 1 mile. Shut it down and read the plug.
Ill be heading out tomorrow and will have to test out in the field. I really don't have anywhere where I live to do that. My backyard only allows for so many NASCAR turns
