Re: Before you buy a Rear Sport Utility Rack
Did they send you the right directions. When I got mine there directions where not included because they where making new ones. When I finally got the directions in a email. You use the stock hole where the where the arm net is and use there bolt which is larger. I do not have the stock seat belts. I have been waiting for an answer to what is the piece of half moon shaped metal with a hole in it for on the passenger side. Also they say that your OEM Polaris spare tire works on the rack. I haven't got an answer on that one either.
Overall I like the rack for the extra carring space. Also I mounted my HID on the rack so I did not have to cut on my OEM Hardtop. I will post pictures when I am completely done.

Re: Before you buy a Rear Sport Utility Rack
Be patient. He has gotten back to me everytime I had a question. It has taken a few days at times but my big thing is he actually did get back to me. I understand it's a small company and they get to take time off to. I know he has been out of town for the holiday. He will get back to you though. He has been easy for me to deal with. to answer your other question though. Yes mine had welding slag all over it and some of the holes were cut with what looks like a torch not drilled or plasma cut. but all in all I think a good product.

Re: Before you buy a Rear Sport Utility Rack
Yeah I agree good product overall only missing 1 part 1 black star washer I think I figured out what the half moon is for on the passenger side either a whip or radio ant. Once roadster steered me in the right direction it was a easy install and over all looks great but I would only rate it as a good product due to slag, missing part and the instructions. If it would have just said remove safety net bolt out and move it up one it would have taken alot my frustration out, I emailed him right after he emailed me still no answer. And to add to that I would have used a grade 8 bolt to the cage up front

Re: Before you buy a Rear Sport Utility Rack
JDA, acouple days to you may seem OK but I have been waiting since 8/16/'08 for a answer on location for the Polaris spare tire holder. mberet thanks on the antena, whip mount, I haven't gone on the sand so I did not have a clue that the little half moon piece of metal was for. As I get waiting for the picture and answer for where the spare tire mount goes I will just be happy that I can still go and have fun riding My RZR

Re: Before you buy a Rear Sport Utility Rack
I go Ebay, they are at $209.00 to $288.00 + shipping. Lil Mule web site last time I checked they are $399.00 + shipping. So, go figure how the rack is shipped to you directly from the manufacturer and costs more. I believe son uses Ebay to sell and Dad is using website and is the manufacturer. so you decide. My .02 cents.

Re: Before you buy a Rear Sport Utility Rack
MIne is the same as ssroadster same price and I bought mine on Ebay again its a good product now I love it except the slag is bothering me you can see and feel it when you clean it and all the welds are fat. Just in case you dont understand slag its splatter when your welding. and in this case it makes little globes or balls on the metal. Theres a few causes for it welding to hot, or the wire speed is set wrong to your material, uncleaned metal and so on and fat welds are globs its caused mostly from not moving the gun or stick in the right timely manner. I know I am being critical

Re: Before you buy a Rear Sport Utility Rack
Mine has some slag but not much. I actually scraped some of it off. I really am anal with stuff like that but I just tell myself when I go out and brush up against trees and hit stumps that's what its made for. Beside's I got it to cover with camping gear to do some back country riding. Looks like one back country ride is coming up in Nov.

Re: Before you buy a Rear Sport Utility Rack
Ok depth of the top rack is 4 1/2 inches side to side is right at 37 1/2 and from front to back is 20 1/2 so you got almost a 2x3 area to put more gear plus plenty of areas to tie down to
