Re: Back cage for dogs

first off,AWESOME CAGE!!!!i really like that, need to see it on your machine.

try RedArt, Inc. for custom made window nets by beard (i think).i'm sure there is other places but these nets appear finer mesh so doggies paws dont get stuck in nets.

Re: Back cage for dogs

I love this idea as I have shepards (one at a time) who would probably love to go in something like this. A few thoughts of brainstorming.

1. Putting them in a crate and cranked down sounds iffy at best. I kind of think they might get pretty bounced around and cant stand up in the crate.

2. What surface would they stand on in there to balance on.

3. I dont think nets would be enough to hold the dog in place. More bars at mid shoulder heigth. The bars need pads. A door across the back maybe? Great more rattling latches lol. Then netting above shoulder hiegth.

Thats all I can think of off the top of my head.

PS No leashes in the back b/c if they do go bouncing out they dont end up hanging themselves.

Re: Back cage for dogs

i will post a pic after he puts in on MY rzr..

going to send it in for some powdercoating first.

dogs wear a harness with a leash and i will pad most all the bars..

they dont have much room like they did when i had the rhino...

Previously we had a single child suspension seat and the dog sat next to it on a dog bed worked well. Definitely recommend a heat shield under bed....makes a world of difference.

Re: Back cage for dogs

Here's a video I found on the site that had that link to the harness.....specifically because there was a dog inside this jeep that rolled.

I'll reserve comment on the video - you decide for yourself.
