Re: 4 point harnesses

Johnny,

Exactly how do the crows mount on a stock RZR?
Seen a few that mount by simply wrapping around the bar behind the seat and then they spread out while riding and fall off the shoulders.

How do you keep them on shoulders or from falling behind the seat when you taken them off?

TIA

PS: got my first shipment of crap thanks.

You can order Crows with a sternum strap it keeps them from falling off shoulders.

Re: 4 point harnesses

I'm an average size & weight guy and have no problem with the straps spreading--on either Y-type harnesses or the dual straps wrap-mounted to the rollbar.. Who is having this problem? Are sternum straps more for barrel-chested people? Or is it more of a brand issue--like maybe some harnesses have the shoulder straps sewn to the lap belt too far apart?

Johnny, you may have missed a question that I asked you in another thread about this. Can you give me some installation directions/desription on that harness hole of yours. I don't understand how it installs. What all is required to get the thing installed properly. What holds everything together so that the material stays in once it's cut. Thanks.

Re: 4 point harnesses

The billet slots are easy to install, you don't need to take the material off the seat. I will make an install guide and post.

Re: 4 point harnesses

I've got the Dragonfire Racing 4pts with sternum strap and I'm really happy with it.....others mention the lap belt riding up, but that's never been a problem for me; maybe it's just secured by being tucked up under my gut or something. It has the shoulder straps looped around the cage, and the lap belt just mounts to the stock belt's mounting holes.

Re: 4 point harnesses

What makes the lap belt ride up is over-tightening the shoulder belts. Just take the slack out--no need to ram yourself down into the seat.

Re: 4 point harnesses

I use a TeamTech 5 pt harness with the sternum strap and it has a little extra padding on the sternum as well. I am sure they make it in a 4pt as well i love them

Re: 4 point harnesses

I run the UTV crap Crow 4 points. The only thing I don't like about them, is the latch, being on a flight crew, I'm used to 4 points and 5 points having a quick release buckle you turn instead of the catch...

Just a matter of muscle memory, but I'm deathly afraid of rolling my RZR into a river, and panicking, and reverting back to my military egress training..... I'll probably pull them off and install a set of seat belts from my blackhawk in them before too long to fix that worry.
