Re: modified stock cage

that aint bad at all... I would hate to see shiping in canada

Someone needs to open a SXS shop up here. I'm sure they would make a killing since shipping costs would be WAY less

You know, I was thinking the same thing. I used to be into the drag car thing and had friends that were doing chassis work. And some of the prices to have a cage or back half done seemed high at the time but after looking at some of this stuff for the RZR's it kind of seems out of line.

Although SXS's are a hot thing right now and as long as all the aftermarket companies keep their prices near each other they will get it.

Re: modified stock cage

My wife and I rolled ours this weekend. We were racing in a TT Race and was probably going 30-35mph when we flipped. We then flipped it on its side again. The cage with Crow harnesses did its job on both flips. The first rollover started on the passenger side then kept flipping with out hitting the roof and landed on the drivers side.

Re: modified stock cage

I also would love to either buy a new cage or reinforce the stock one, I want the new one to except all the RZR accessories, soft cab, overhead bag, my some rolled my RZR did a 360 him and his friend, no one was hurt, they were in sand and going 35-40 MPH

So does someone make a kit with reinforcement tubes for the stock cage ?
Here are some pics,

Re: modified stock cage

the stock cage wall thickness is to thin to reinforce thats why no one makes a kit for it you can reinforce it all you want itll just bend a the end of the reinforcement

Dill I agree with you 100%....amen brother!
I did a full roll rock crawling in the white tank mountains here in AZ. My cage has a few dings and scratches but other that that it is just fine. I took the front half off afterwards to see if it had any tension or pressure...it did not. bolted right back up with no issues.

Re: modified stock cage

After reading this thread I decided to reinforce the stock cage by adding rear kickers similar to the rzr-s and some cross bracing behind seats and trianglation braces at the top of the pillars. I would like to keep the shape of the stock cage because I use the cab system in the winter.

they way the top of the cage cuts in that you like unfortunately is a big part of the weakness in the oem cage you will not find a aftermarket cage anywhere to match your roof and bag because that makes the cage weak .... you can keep your bag though by doing what i did made a new roof for my new cage then drilled a couple holes in the roof to hook the bag to really not hard at all
