This lands deal started a long time ago (some bills have been around over a decade) with bipartisan support because every Public Servant wanted something it contained for their State. The problem arose when they wrapped 160 bills into one and bypassed the House disallowing their scrutiny of each bill on its individual merit, along with the inclusion of “pork barrel” spending additions to help seal backroom deals.

From one Veteran to another, thank you for your Service to Our Country brother!

Those who love Sausage and Respect the Laws of Our Nation should NEVER watch either being made!

Nearly 3/5ths of the 160 to 170 Bills included were never allowed to be scrutinized in OUR House of Representatives.

2.2 million acres forever locked up under the Federal "Wilderness" designation where the only mechanized means of travel allowed are non-powered wheel chairs, and they have to be the standard hospital issue variety instead of a custom made unit that might have a chance of getting a person somewhere.

Oh, and don't forget the other 26 million acres that were included under the National Landscape Conservation System Act.

RhinoRescue has some well made points and I for one am listening.
