My radio box build.

Well I've been wanting to build one of these since my first Rzr and attempted it once, didn't go as planned and quit on it. Well I read about another build on here and got inspired once again with a better way to do it. This is what I've got so far should finish it up tomorrow. I'm goin to recut the speaker recessive rings and cut out my slot for my single din. Then should be ready to pull the fleece over it. Hopefully it turns out nice. Let me know why ya think! Thanks guys!Click image for larger version

Re: My radio box build.

Debating trying one myself. keep us posted. Looks like a good start. Maybe you will inspire me to give it a shot. I actually mocked up a console out of cardboard to go under the center of the dash for a radio and switched just not brave enough to try it yet! Post progress

Awesome! Finally ! Started to make the new rings today and things wasn't goin good mainly because I was using a tile bit on wood ! So I quit till I can hit lowes in the morning on the way home from work. Then I'll try again. Once I finish that I'll start the cut out for the cd player. Chances are u won't be using it for that (don't own any CDs) I'll mainly be using it for fm radio xm radio and Bluetooth streaming for music and phone calls.

Re: My radio box build.

Sounds like you are on your way! I looked at a fusion unit that holds the I phone inside it. I heard another members that had that radio with fusion speakers and it was crazy loud with no amp, just the head unit. I'm running the shark amp and speakers with SD card now and its plenty loud, just no base, but hard to beat for the money. Ill keep an eye on your progress!

Re: My radio box build.

yeah great job. I am just waiting for my amp to arive, I just bought a 2 amp pakage(2 amps and all wiring) off of ebay today for $70 shipped to canada. All I need now is some speakers and some time to make a box. I never thought I would put a stereo in my rzr (I always thought people were crazy for doing it) but I can't wait to do it. Do you have any pictures with the box installed and how are you fastening it to the cage.
