RZR line lock brake

I decided to go with the line lock brake on my RZR.

To save some money I ordered the two needed items from Summit Racing.

Part # - SBR-LL LINE LOCK 2 PORT
SUM-G3904 INSTALLATION KIT-LINE LOCK

These two items cost about $67.00.

I already have a switch and wiring laying around.

The line lock kit has the needed fittings and line needed for the install plus some extra
fitting and lines that you don't need. So if you want to search for these individually you
could save a little more money.

I did not have a tube bender, I just bent in by hand and it came out just fine.

This setup works very well. When on a hill just hit the switch, step on the brake, and the
rear wheels will be locked. Put it in park also to be safe.

THX
I'VE HAD MY RZR ABOUT A WEEK
NO PARKING BRAKE IS A DRAG!
this is the first problem i noticed , and i will be making this upgrade
although i'd tossed around the idea of a manual lever lock
what do you think ? step on the brake and close the valve.

Re: RZR line lock brake

Just a heads up when using the line lock.

I left it turned on over night, about 17 hours to be exact.

I did this to mainly check for leaks and it was good, brakes still locked up tight.

However between the line lock and the light on the switch it drained the battery just enough to where it would not start the engine.

This is about what I expected to happen.

So using it for a couple of hours while on a trailer or on the trail should be no problem.

Re: RZR line lock brake

Did you put it on both front and rear lines?

Just the rear, I would have likes to have done the front but that would have required using two more line locks.

Re: RZR line lock brake

Yea I havn't looked to see how the lines are run. I figured the front would have 1 line that T'ed into 2.

The front has two separate lines coming out of the master cylinder, the rear has one that tee's into two.

Makes it kind of difficult to do the front. It is doable but would require using two more line locks.

i have a manual lock on my rail and it has seems to unlock it self sometimes, so when im parked on hills i stress out that its going to roll down and wreck out... also had an offroad truck with a manual lock one time in a parking lot it unlocked and rolled into some bushes, luckily it didn't hit any cars...

Re: RZR line lock brake

I was looking for a Parking/Emergency Brake setup also...funny I missed your thread but I had already saw that the electrical ones are not the best thing for me...found the Jamar Park lock roaming around on buggy sites as the old school guys have already been through with a VW Buggy what we are going through with a RZR so I was stealing some of their ideas...
