EHS Racing Airbox Project

Hey everyone this is Eric at EHS Racing I wanted to show the airbox system for the razor we are working on. Its a total replacement aluminum upper box that still utilizes the OEM airbox. The OEM box is relocated which allows for a much more direct intake. Its still in the protoype stage but we should have it ready soon. Here are some pictures

That looks real good. Are you going to post measurements and instructions for us to make our own copy? You posted in the Projects & How-To section...

Re: EHS Racing Airbox Project

Could it be the air box has a division? If you open the attachment I circled what appears to me an opening in the box.

Re: EHS Racing Airbox Project

If it indeed has a section for exhausting the clutch case air it's a unit I'd love to have.
I'm a sucker for nicely welded aluminum.
They seem to be into customer service as well.

Wink Re: EHS Racing Airbox Project

Hey guys you are correct there is a divider that seperates the intakes from the exhaust. Right now the plan is to fill that divided section with the really awsome foam the same stuff we use for snorkels with our airbox covers. We had just finished that protoype a couple days before the holidays and only played with it for little while. Once we get back were gonna do some more testing then send out some units for customers to test.

We started the build including the guys at the prc forum there will be 5 people getting them at a reduced rate for helping us out making sure everything goes smoothly once we release them. I wouldnt ming doing the same with a couple here, as a thanks for letting us post here.

Some of the other key things with this setup are
The pre-filter is replaceable and its easy, bed removel isnt necessary once installed.

The airbox is rotated which creates a much more direct air route we use 2.5" od 6061 aluminum tubing for all connections. (hooking to the flex tube)

The hinge pin on the airbox and lid is removed and replaced with a spring clip. This makes a much tighter seal between the box and lid.

There is a custom aluminum intake adapter that connects the airbox to top box tubing. This seals much better than the stock tube.

Guy if you want to build one yourself you can call me I will give you some pointers but I warn you this has been a project. There defiinetly wasnt much room to work with.

Re: EHS Racing Airbox Project

I'd certainly be up to testing a unit at a discounted price.
If you follow my link, you'll see I like to dabble with aftermarket goodies and the electrical work I do myself.

It seems my signature with my link disappeared, here it is.

LOL Now it's back again but missing in my last post...bizzare.

Re: EHS Racing Airbox Project

EHSRACING - I would consider such a upgrade, but I really want a prefilter on the front. - do you have a option in mind for that?
