i took the bed off the rzr to give it a good cleaning and decided to build a small flatbed for it. its not complete yet because hunting season is here an that takes all my non work time. i want to add sides and put led tail lights on it then bedliner it. here is the pics. so far i love it. the last pic i have a racertech 2in installed without the shocked tightened.

might make the sides like this

Re: rzr flatbed

Pretty cool! I could only see the first and last picture?? That had to add a lot of weight? Draw up the plans and make an aluminum one. Then you could haul a bigger deer

Repost some pics. please. Did you just attach it to under bed supports?

Cheers

Sorry, once I posted and it came up so did the other pics???

Re: rzr flatbed

i have 4 carriage bolts through the frame, the front corners go under the rollbar. i have taken it off 3-4 different times and its pretty simple. as far as weight i never did weigh it. it still handles great. i put the racertech lift on and never stiffened the shocks. i know the deer isnt much but its my first bowkill buck. trust me if i could i woulda built it out of aluminum but the shop i work in doesnt have a tig welder that might be changing

Congrats on the 1st bowkill. Could you feel your heart beat in your ears?! Looking at the picture I bet it wasn't much past 15 yard shot either. What a thrill!!

Re: rzr flatbed

Man thats a really cool idea. I'm seeing a lot of potetial here to, Yes aluminum and maybe even a heavier plastic deck with the lock and ride attachments. Then add some removable bar rails.

Re: rzr flatbed

reminds me of a mini ranger! i like it! i wish sometimes my S didnt have the bars in the back, i know its better in the event of a roll over, but sometimes a flatbed would be handy. Nice work!

Re: rzr flatbed

little update on the flatbed. put some sides on it, heavier springs for the back, and 26.5 pitbull tires. its still hunting season so ive been to busy to finish it. need to get an led light strip for the tail lights and paint it. i am really happy with it for what i do. thanks for looking and i will get some better pics later.

Re: rzr flatbed

That's pretty unique! Way to put some utility in the sport UTV. Nice job, I like it! It does need a tailgate though.

I take the s rear cage off mine during goose season. That helps. Good idea though had mine off cleaning the other day and had same idea.
