FactoryUTV Doors and Snorkels

Finally bit the bullet and snorkeled her and added some Uni to the ends. I picked the doors up from Factoryutv. I added the rzr plate because I used to have a K&N there for my intake system so had to do something about the hole. This is just a temporary mock up that my buddy tapped and cut out the new one will have a cnc rzr emblem cut out and glued to the plate for a better look.

Re: FactoryUTV Doors and Snorkels

Couple questions for you RZR1906

Where did you get the white plastic?
What are the gauges you had mounted on the roll cage? And how did you hook them up?
How did you seal up the intake box from leaking? ( I do alot of creek riding and mine fills up with wet sand. Figured it was getting kicked up from my tires and leaking around the rim or something. Any advise?)

Thanks,

Re: FactoryUTV Doors and Snorkels

It is white carbon fiber plastic from Maier ordered direcly from them.

One gauge it a volt meter, you just hook it up to a hot wire that comes on with the key(I think I used the accessory wire off of the power plug in the dash) and ground it.

One is a temperature gauge, you have to hook up the light in it which has a hot and ground I used the wires running to the light switch so it only come on with the headlights on you also have to do this for the volt gauge, then another hot wire I used the same one as the volt gauge, a ground, and then I used the theromstat housing for the sensor. There is a weep hole with a little bolt in it, I just drilled and tapped it and put the sensor there.

I also have a a/f gauge but took it off cause it is not working right and it just has a positive and ground that hook to the battery and a sensor that is screwed into a bung on my exhaust.

The gauges are mounted using autometer's roll cage mounts.

As for the airbox I fill the indention on the lid with greese and I have yet to have a problem with it leaking.

Re: FactoryUTV Doors and Snorkels

I really need the volt meter hook up. I installed 4- 8's with a 600 watt amp on my ride and would like to keep an eye on the battery while its not running. Just havent found a nice accessory yet to cut into the dash. Would like an lcd display but seems to be rare to find?

You mentioned you once had the air/gas mixture gauge. Ive seen a couple of setups with this but all have said to not to keep it hooked up while normal riding due to something..blah blah blah.....?

I installed the BigGun Exhaust with the fuel modulator and cant get the setting correct on it. Its quick to take off but falls face first when i get to around 30 or so, and i can smell the richness out the exhaust....Any advise on this issue.

If you are just wanting to keep an eye on the volts when it is NOT running, then just use the factory volt meter. Put Rzr in park turn key on and hold yellow button. Then keep pressing it until the display reads your volts.

Re: FactoryUTV Doors and Snorkels

I know people who are running the a/f gauges all the time with no problems that was what they were designed for so I wouldnt worry about that. Volt meter is supe easy to hook up and you can get the roll cage pod for 30 a piece so you dont have to cut anything. The rzr is rich from the factory and needs fuel taken away in some areas even with a aftermarket exhaust or atleast mine was according to dynojets dyno, but without a powercommander3 you are not going to be able to take fuel away all the others just add fuel try turning your fuel controller all the way down in the mid and halfway on top end and see what happens.

Re: FactoryUTV Doors and Snorkels

Yep agreed!!! PC3 is the only way to take away fuel, and the only way to fine tune your rzr with the help of a a/f gauge.
