Go to Lowes or Home Depot. They will be in the plumbing section close to $4 a piece. I used PVC and painted it with high heat paint. Looks good. I was like you, I could not find ABS anywhere.

Also, since I have the DFR filter I did not worry about putting filters on each of my intakes. However I do have outerwear in between the tubbing on the last bend to keep debris out. Cant see it though.

OK now that I'm caught I had to take a new pic & fix the link so it shows correctly.

If anyones Outerwears sock blew off because of this, I'm really sorry

A 22 degree street would turn a 90 in to a 112 degree elbow

I agree that I should turn down the end but an additional 90 will interfere with my tote. All I really need is a little "eyebow" or overhang. Plastic pipe is so easy to work with I'll probably bandsaw the thick hub end off another elbow--at an angle--and glue it on the 90 to make it a 110

I'm not worried about getting a little water in the CVT case--it'll dry up quickly once that big fan gets going. But I'll go to a little extra trouble to prevent it if I can.

Re: Home-made snorkels--incl. parts list

If you look close at the picture you can see what I did. I took a street fitting and bandsawed it very short and at a slight angle to give me a little "hood" on the exhaust. It didn't help recently whenI trailered it through a rain storm. So much water got in the CVT that I couldn't back the Rzr off the trailer until I loosened the cover & drained most the water out. Now I stuff a tennis ball in the end of the elbow if it looks like rain.

Got the socks direct from Outerwears. I should clarify that this sock doesn't stretch tight over the end of the pipe. The sock might restrict flow a little if it were that small so I got taller socks & put a round piece of very open celled aquarium foam in the end of the pipes. Just rinse the sock & foam off in water when it gets dirty. A flick with the finger is usually all that's needed to knock the loose dust off the surface.

Re: Home-made snorkels--incl. parts list

what would you do? remove stock air box and go straight into throttle body with an air filter on top of snorkel or leave the air box and leave top of snorkel open? I have a 2009 RZR S and a new guy to the RZR so any help would be awesome. another question since i'm going to have everything apart would it be great idea to install drain plug into cvt housing?

Re: Home-made snorkels--incl. parts list

I would just like to say thanks for such a great post!I used this post as my guide to snorkeling my rzr this weekend! Everything went great! I made a few small changes to the steps on snorkeling the lower belt and the 90's at the top of snork's, but all in all it went great and looks very professional! Could'nt have done it so easy or such a good job without this post! THANKS!!

Re: Home-made snorkels--incl. parts list

Cuz there's 3 big ducts under the bed:
Engine air intake, CVT fan intake & exhaust. Both intakes are in the upper air box & compete for the same restricted air supply. The cvt exhaust is under the bed & blows towards the back.
