Re: IPOD setups?
I run a cable between headphone jack on the iPod and the auxiliary port on the stereo.

Re: IPOD setups?
My head unit doesn't have an aux port on the front, not sure about the back, I'll have to check? I may have to get another stereo with one but not sure what to do with the IPOD to keep it safe from water. How do people without a stereo run the IPOD using stereo speakers? I have seen this before but can't find anything searching the forum.

Re: IPOD setups?
The RZR has a 500 watt Stator, Use it! put a decent mid amp in there with the ipod to rca plug and mount your ipod on the dash.
The only problem is this makes your rca's very low power. you can run a Equalizer and it bumps your rca's up to about 7 volts! the eq maounts nicely behind the speedo.... and the amp mounts nicely under the hood...
Dont buy a kit, MAKE IT

That would be great but I ride/splash in water and the amp and EQ located there wouldn't last. My stereo and speakers are overhead. I will either make something waterproof for the IPOD or buy a stereo with IPOD controls so that I can have the IPOD in a sealed box. I thought some of the mud riders would have a good setup. Thanks for all the input!

Re: IPOD setups?
I bought a motorcycle amp on ebay for about $45 and a set of motorcycle speakers for about $50 on ebay. The amp is the size of a deck of cards and I mounted it under the dash. The speakers have an arm that I used to attach to my seatbelt attachment. The ipod plugs directly into the amp. No stereo required. Then I mounted the Ipod to the dash with an Ipod case from Walmart. The whole thing was inexpensive and sounds pretty good unless you are going over 50mph.

Re: IPOD setups?
DOH. I never thought of EBAY for motorcycle stuff. I just bought a cheap amp from Wal-Mart and some inclosed speakers from a surplus store and mounted them under my plastic roof. Total price $85. The RCA cable to phone jack just runs into my roof bag where my cheapo MP3 player rides. Crank up the engine then the tunes full and ride in comfort. Sure is more comfy than quading now. Went through lots of water and muskag with no problems in the last year.
