excellent Idea. I will be doing this this week. I bet it helps out when parked on a hill. You know how it can be pretty tuff to get her out of park while she is on a hill. Love it.

Yes. If you like to drive with the wheel in the 'bus' position just make the bracket a little longer. The longer the bracket is the more action on the cable--that way you can adjust it with extra slack in the cable until the very last bit of wheel tilt.

Mark, I think this is going to be my first RZR Mod.
I may be asking for some help with the bracket.
I haven't looked at it closley enough on my RZR to do it yet.

If no one has done it yet, I'll make a template when I'm done with mine.
I may just have one of my CAD guys make up a drawing.

Re: Parking Brake for the RZR

Chris I have an extra bracket somewhere on my cluttered workbench. It was a little too short to get the cable travel I sought but it does work & can be used as is or as a template for another. I can take photos for you or just send it...let me know if you're interested.

Re: Parking Brake for the RZR

Where does the cable slack up when you are not using the parking brake and you are just useing the brake normally? I hope that question makes since.

Re: Parking Brake for the RZR

Cool, thanks. I guess that picture is taken with the steering wheel down and your foot on the brakes?

Re: Parking Brake for the RZR

Steering wheel down, foot not on the brake. The stop is tightened on the cable with the pedal held to the floor with the wheel all the way up. At normal wheel positions brake pedal movement doesn't cause cable movement up at the column (on mine anyways). The pedal doesn't have much travel and most of the cable movement at that end is lost in the linkage where it attaches to the pedal.

Re: Parking Brake for the RZR

Now Polaris needs to resolve the seizing up of the tilt cylinder or whatever causes the tilt to not work.
I sure like your parking brake design - prefect IMO.
