Re: Clutch Spacer Removal... THE RIGHT WAY! (pics)
Questions:
I put the center bolt (5/8") back on good and tight as instructed but, is there a chance that bolt could ever come out? What would happen?
Is Loctite a good idea to put on it or am I over-thinking?
Thanks

Re: Clutch Spacer Removal... THE RIGHT WAY! (pics)
This type of drive/driven clutch (CVT) setups has been used for decades (snowmobiles, ATVs, UTV's...). I've never seen the center bolt on the drive clutch with Loctitie. I would NOT use Loctite on it.
I have seen Loctite used on the small center bolt of Polaris snowmobile driven clutches.

Its great to have resources like this. Thanks for taking the time to help the rest of us with your tutorial. I'll do the same when I start in on some of my own ideas.
Havent had the chance to test out the top end yet but I'll post when I have had it GPS checked.
Some Pics of my new RZR. Sorry about the messy garage.

Re: Clutch Spacer Removal... THE RIGHT WAY! (pics)
So how does removingthe spacer affect us duners. I mostly ride at Pismo Dunes and my RZR is equipped with a gibson exhaust, KMS intake, Power Commander and Holz intake grill.
I can usually scoot across the dunes at about 50mph on a stretch of dunes and on a long stretch reach 55-56 mph.
For you duners that have removed the spacer, how did you like it?

Re: Clutch Spacer Removal... THE RIGHT WAY! (pics)
Anyone tried the spacer removed with an aftermarket clutch kit? Does it effect it at all or eat of the very pricey aftermarket belt faster?

It real didn't make much of a different for me. I have the EPI kit on it. To soon to tell if the belt life is cut in half.

Re: Clutch Spacer Removal... THE RIGHT WAY! (pics)
My spacer has been out for 1500 miles with no belt affect BUT I did notice a SLOWER acceleration . cruising on the streets is a lot better because the rpms are much lower at 55 . I mainly ride in woods/mud/highway. I AM THINKING ABOUT CUTTING IT IN HALF AND REINSTALLING IT .
