Gps & Radio instal pics.
I decided to put the Lowrance 540C gps on the passengers side above the grab handle. This seemed to be the best area. I cut the dash some around the unit so that it would sit farther back and out of the passengers sight of vision. It works great and easily seen by the driver with a glance. It's not too hard to reach over and push buttons if I need. Just a loosen of the belt straps and it's easier. The unit is held on by the plastic type (very strong) mount that comes with the unit and is bolted to a bracket that is welded to the that bar that holds the grab handle. I can still use the Polaris bag that fits under the grab bar.
The race radio I put in 2 separate areas. The volume and squelch I put to the left of the steering on the bottom area which does not have a bow in the the plastic. The radio I placed in the middle underneath the dash but easily accessed.
The passengers "push to talk" is located on the dash just past the grab handle and the drivers "push to talk" is on the steering (which wont tangle when turning).
the black button on the left is a horn that I actually use often and the toggle switch in the middle is to turn on the dome light, whip light or both.
If anybody is thinking of setting something like this up. I think this is a good way to go if your not sure what to do.

Look great.
How do you like the GPS unit? I thought about the 540 but wasn't sure if I wanted to spend that amount, where did you put the GPS antenna?

Creative, I like that.
Can you get a picture of the clamp attaching to the grab bar stalk?

Re: Gps & Radio instal pics.
Took these with the telephone camera. Hope it works. I think the 540C works great. There's so many options, plus the screen is huge and you can custom it to show all sorts of things. It's not too hard to program waypoints but you have to cycle through the alphabet which I don't like. There might be a quicker way but I havent read the instructions yet. I ordered it from pciraceradios.com. You CAN find cheaper out there. The antenna is part of the Ultimate 2 seat sand package from pciraceradio.com. Both comes with all the stuff you need, except fuse box ect.... SandTrix helped me with all my wiring.
