Re: Heater Parts ?? Aluminium Block Adaptor ??

has anybody checked with a dealer to see if it's available as a repair part? Can't believe you'd have to buy a whole kit if something broke, but then it is Polaris!

You dont need to bypass the thermostat to get good heat.

Re: Heater Parts ?? Aluminium Block Adaptor ??

But by bypassing the thermostat, you risk over cooling your engine and having to high of a temperature variation during operation. Also, you will not gain the maximum heat out put of your heater. The heater core is nothing more than a radiator and its cooling your engine while warming you at the same time.

My heater is dependant on the tstat and there is that lag time until the tstat opens, but after that I cant run my heater all the time because its too hot.
I get good heat until about 15 degrees out side and running 30+mph. But when its that cold, I just throw a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator-not a new trick but very effective. 10 degrees is the coldest I've been in and I' ve stayed toasty. It was my throttle cable that froze and knocked me out of a ride I wanted to go on. Again, not knocking on the spacer, or to bypass or not ,just my experience with it.

My temp gauge tells me everything I need to know. Never again
