I haven't heard yet, but it would be really cool for an average Joe to be able to spec one out and buy it

Re: Polaris Defense: Introducing the MRZR

I'd hope this plays like the original Hummer, and there'd be a civilian version at least!

Re: Polaris Defense: Introducing the MRZR

"Designed and Engineered in the USA". Not built in the USA. I can only guess it's built where the current XP4 is, Mexico. Cool rig though... I'm sure it's heavy. Not sure why somebody would want all that extra weight unless you were in the military.

Re: Polaris Defense: Introducing the MRZR

Anyone know why they run such narrow tires on the rear? Just to keep the width down?

Re: Polaris Defense: Introducing the MRZR

Probably just so they only have to carry one spare. Same size all the way around.

Re: Polaris Defense: Introducing the MRZR

I myself love the bed, and I know plenty of guys that would like a metal flat bed on their RZR. Also noticed it comes with four points.. That said the absolute last thing I'd want to be driving in a war zone is a RZR... Zero protection and a sitting duck when a ball joint or tie rod end goes. Which happens pretty often inless the military version has much stronger parts..
I think they should sell a RZR with that bed setup to civilians. Hunters and country boys would love it. I doubt they would sell the exact same RZR though. The government probably pays some crazy price for them that civilians never would.. What do you think 25k?

Re: Polaris Defense: Introducing the MRZR

Width could also be a possibility, although I would assume that it is a spares issue as stated above. The MH-47 which is one of the main aircraft used to transport the teams that would use these only has a 90" width on the cargo bay. That only leaves about 13" on either side of the vehicle. So that's pretty tight if you need to move around while you have a couple of these stuffed in the hold.
