Re: RZR Knockoff with 800 turning heads !!
Hello rzr fans I am new to the forum and I wanted to tell you guys bout the hisun 800 and the cfmoto z6. I am a dealer have been for four yrs. I am not plugging my shop I wont even mention my businesses name. I have been selling Hisun under Qlink name and cfmoto since i started. Both of these factories meet or exceed iso standards. This is a world quality control standard that most reputable manufacturers adhere too.
Since these machines are pretty new there isnt extensive testing but the rhino clones have been out there for a couple yrs. Most problems I see with those are the same issues rhino owners have. I have customers who beat the crap out of em and I have some units with some time on the motors. When you save 3 to 4 thousand dollars there are some things that are not up too domestic or japan but usually real easy fixes. The quality in the engines are great. however they might go cheap on a ign switch. Usually issues we have are really simple. One surprise I got when we got the new fuel injection units was who makes the fi systems. hisun uses delphi and cfmoto uses bosch. My diagnostic computer for the hisun is a delphi unit and ecm is delphi. Funny the ecm on a ranger i worked on the other day was made in china. had to throw in some sarcasm lol. anyway I havent laid my hands on the z6 yet but I just got in a lime green 800 sport from qlink. I am not familiar with rzr so I cant compare but to the rhinos its awesome. First the sound of the engine just makes your blood boil. The rear diff can be locked or unlocked which is nice for donuts and cutting up. the chinos stay locked in the rear. engine hp rating is 55hp. It will accelerate to 55-60mph easy and will probably hit 70. Its real nimble. Looking at the chassis the diffs are different from the rhino. The only thing that is the same are the hubs best I can tell. The engine looks like rotax but i bet there are differences. I dont think anything on it is remotely similar to rzr other than its a sport utv aimed at that market. I hope you guys find the info useful. I am not a polaris hater by any means I think they make a fine product and it is american made and designed. Do they use foreign components of course but what company doesnt. Look forward to chatting with you guys in the future. God Bless |

Re: RZR Knockoff with 800 turning heads !!
That video makes it look like it's not only turning heads but rather nearly shakes it off the base of the neck. Suspension and handling isn't its strong suit.

The shocks are adjustable. More than likely they put the thing together and didnt mess with the suspension at all. I agree though some extended a arms and quality shocks would help.

Re: RZR Knockoff with 800 turning heads !!
This is mine. It's shortfall is the suspension....moreso the short a-arms. A long travel on this is what it needs to run.
Hilliard front locker. Bomby 800 copy engine. As was mentioned earlier, the 912 kit fits. The guy has it running and fast. He is in Canada so it's kinda off season. Bomby 800 clutching/springs and belt. Mine is snorkeled with 28" zilla 10's&12's. ![]()

Re: RZR Knockoff with 800 turning heads !!
I have talked with my distributor about the suspension. They are going to contact the manufacturer about making a racing suspension kit for these. shocks a arms axles etc. Hisun has a nice wheeltrack kit for it. A company in europe a hisun importer called emu has a cool video on youtube bout 10 min long with a sport version they did with baja rack and long a arms.

This machine lacks suspension...that's about it. I've removed my sway bars and it feels nicer but it's tippy. I'm considering putting the rear back on but we really don't ride fast trails. I know a guy with walker evans Rhino shocks and he says they are worlds better. The place I got it from also sells a different set of springs that are supposed to help. I think it just needs more travel and better shocks. Maybe some piggyback type shocks would be a good start. Could even have them revalved for the weight. I dunno. Right now, I'm working on richening it up a bit. In normal trail riding the headpipes glow red. Not blasting down trails but simple tooling around. That's lean....real lean. I have a pair of xied's coming for my harley. They are simply plug and play resistors to fool the ecu to increasing the afr to 14. This might very well wake this thing up. It runs well now but is certainly too lean. I'll experiment and see how she does. |

Re: RZR Knockoff with 800 turning heads !!
If this things goes sour, you'll hear about it from my big mouth. If it continues to do as it has so far, then you'll hear about that. I'm just into the 1st stage of modding it. Only have 30 miles on it but they are not easy miles and she has done great. It has some wrinkles to be ironed out but nothing that any other brand doesn't need. It's pretty different from what you'd expect. |

Re: RZR Knockoff with 800 turning heads !!
yes sway bars are still hooked up. it seems to travel really well with just a spring change and what i like is its cheap. we dyno the shocks here in house they could use a little help to. but there not that bad!
it rides down on the bump stops nice and easy I THINK IT SHOULD BE CALLED A RAZOR EATER Last edited by utv007; December 30th, 2010 at 11:10 AM. |

Re: RZR Knockoff with 800 turning heads !!
Why is it these test riders have to saw the wheel back and forth. Do they think it makes the machine look faster to try and fishtale it all over. It really just makes it look like it handles like crap. Looks like a bunch of amateur goons.
