Re: Mini-Ripsaw by Howe and Howe

40 isn't bad considering the tracks.. I bet it would go anywhere.. I would also be a little scared for my legs, arms, head lol well you get the idea.. Needs something between rider and tracks.

Re: Mini-Ripsaw by Howe and Howe

that show is great to watch a small company fabricate for the government. but it really suprises me on the tools they use to build these vehicles. very basic. makes you think anyone with a buzz box can do it.

drive fast and take chances.

Re: Mini-Ripsaw by Howe and Howe

Yeah...its fun to watch, but as fabricators they are kinda hinkey!
Did you see the episode with the little armored tank that can go through doors?
They didn't even save their specs on how to make it, the poor kid was trying to eyeball measurements off of drawings. And then with the mining car they were too lazy to do the engineering to lower it a few inches.....were surprised when it wasn't low enough, so they stole those inches outta the suspensions ride height. Being Military, as far as I'm concerned I wouldn't put my life in any of their vehicles! The show is entertaining though....I'll give em that.

Re: Mini-Ripsaw by Howe and Howe

Yeah I was pretty surprised also when they took 2" out of the suspension. I guess since they were against a deadline and had already built the machine wrong.. I would have chopped the cage or something. They kept the same shocks to just stuck different springs on it..
