Kent Farms in Andover, NY is having an ATV happening on August 28 and 29. Saturday the 28th will be drags, pulls, and barrel races. Sunday the 29th is the dice run. Camping is available on site and there is a band Saturday night. (Shameless plug here: It's my band playing Saturday night - sorry I had to do it!) Dang... I wish I had would have found out about this earlier. I would have gotten a few guys together to go. Post up an MP3 or two (or a link)... I'd like to hear your band.

Ridgerunner - We probably won't get started on the dice run until later on in the morning, like 11:00 am or so. I figure we won't get home from playing Saturday night until about 1:00 am. I won't be out of bed at the crack of dawn! Plus we'll have to unload all of the band equipment and then load up all of our ATV gear before we can leave. Just thought I'd let you know in case you're planning on running with us - you're more than welcome to! Besides, if we leave later they'll have more of the mud worked up, we can show them how RZR's go in the mud! Maybe PM me your cell phone number and I can call you Sunday morning with a time when we'll get there?

There's a buddy of ours that built an off-road golf cart with a 700cc snowmobile engine in it. I told him he could run with us too, I want to see what it does. He's pretty clever at building stuff, I'm anxious to see how it runs.

For anyone else going, I'll be the old fart playing bass in the band on Saturday night, or my RZR is in my avatar photo - it stands out with the white military stars on it. Look me up and say hello!

I'm trying to get a few quad guys to go with me too. I'll probly ride early so I can get my nefew back at a decent time. I don't know about the mud, been pretty dry around here lately, like powder! Pray for rain and lots of it! I f-ing hate dust!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd rather be in a downpour than eat f-ing dust all day. Maybe I'll get there early and be the first to go and then everyone else can eat my dust! heh, heh

I talked to Joe Kent last night on the phone and he's expecting around 1000 four wheelers - holy crap!!!

I don't think it will be super muddy tomorrow - but then again a little less mud than what they had in May might not be a bad thing?!

He might have to try to get this on "Fisher's ATV World" next year, I can't imagine that many ATVs in the same place!

As long as we aren't bumper to bumper and crawling along at a snails pace, I'm good with that. I've got 3-4 quad guys going plus me. Won't be there tonight so slap that bass guitar and have a good time. I'll be there Sunday bright and early!

Maybe the majority will get rode out today and tonight and it will be cleared out some by later tomorrow afternoon.

I installed some doors since U seen me last. Red RZR with ITI doors in aluminum. I might be flying a skull and crossbones flag or 2 also. You shouldn't miss me that way heh, heh!

Too bad I didn't catch up with you until the end of the day, but at least I saw you! The "Polamaha" golf cart was about out of gas so we had to beat it back to the truck. It was entertaining having him along and he went everywhere we did. I only had to winch him out once. 130hp will throw some gawd-awful rooster tails! My wife got some good pictures of him, I think she was going to link them to the Kent Farms Facebook page.

I heard they ended up with almost 500 entries, no where near 1000 but still a really good turnout.

Maybe we can get together and do a fall ride there - that would be fun.

500 entries? I would have only guessed 1-200. The trails were not crowded at all and we never once got bottled up. We rode it twice. The first run we took every mud lane and racked up only 16 miles. The second time we took all the bypasses to see the rest of the trails and added another 12 miles or so. Not as many miles as I would have liked, but the trails were rough, muddy and fun. It got pretty dusty the second trip through. Most of the riders with me had sport quads and my winch got used a bit. I had to push start another sport quad guy to get him going. My EMP bumper worked great for that. I used the bumper to widen one of the bypass trails too. I saw one RZRs, one RZR 4, a dozen regular Rangers, and couple of Whinos. Being wider than me, I don't see how they made it through some of those trails without bashing through a few trees to make their own trail from time to time. All in all it was a good ride and I would go back again. This would be really fun to ride after a heavy rain, especially that creek section! If I were riding a sport quad, I would avoid this ride if it rained a lot before hand.

Great Weekend, We camped up on the hill got to ride the trails sat and sunday.... Loved all the mud! Everyone there was beyond accomidating.
