We are on the "list" for down by the pond. I have a feeling, this is going to be like putting 3 lbs of stuff in a 2 lb can.

The suggestions of alternate camping locations might be something for a list to be put together for those not familiar with the other camp ground locations in the area.

That way when they get to Macks and they are full, they have options and how to get there.

Just a thought.

IMO opinion for what its worth (which isnt much) unless you have a spot reserved at macks, plan on "making due" with what is available. Not saying you wont find an area to camp and set up your trailer, but dont expect to roll in with a 44foot trailer and have a 50amp plug, gravel parking, no low lying limbs to damage ACs, etc...

The only other option that i am aware of is Mocassin gap camping area, up the road about 1mi. It is also primitive. RZR T (tim) mention there were a few other spots around, but i am unsure how close they would be OR if they are suitable for trailers.

I just dont want anyone frustrated they cant find a spot, especially if they are bringing a big rig. Not trying to be an a$$, just want everyone aware of the potential tight fit we are facing and to avoid the "well they said on the thread there was a field to park in" type scenarios.........

Want to make sure this stays up and everyone sees it....
