Transformation

Here are some before and after pics of my RZR during the lifting process. I also installed snorkles while I had the bike apart. I have a few more mods planned and will update as I go along. The bucket gives a reference for the change in height.

Yes. I tried 1" in the front and the inner lug of the tires still hit the lower sway bar joint on both sides @ full turn so I have ordered 2" for the front and I will move the 1" to the rear.

Just under 6'-8" to the top of the lights. 6'-1 1/2" to top of the roll cage at the rear loop. Depending on which trails we are riding and the clearance, I just loosen the light bar clamps and roll the whole assembly down to get it out of the way.

Re: Transformation

Do you have any stability issues with cornering. Or any other problems. Looks great !!! I am going to get some sort of lift because of the trail I take through the woods to the hunting camp is nothing but rocks scraping under the bottom of the rzr hope fully this will help.

It is different but I think that is caused more by the tall sidewall and low air pressure (8 lbs) of the tires vs. the actual lift kit itself. After riding a few times I got used to the way it handles and I am not experiencing any problems. I do have to admit that the fear of tipping is still there though.

Extreme 3" on the top and 3" spacers on the bottom. Check out the Lift Kits forum and I have some pics posted there showing the components.

Hi Don, like you I have the Extreme 3" and I also added 3" spacers @ the bottom of the shocks for a total of 6". So far it has worked great and it cured my clearance problems where we ride.

Re: Transformation

Where did you get the spacers and how much angle does it put on your joints?

I bought them on Ebay, they look like an upside down pyramid and have an extra hole to relocate to lower connection point of the sway bar in the front. The CV joints are pretty well bent out of shape. I'm sure that it is just a matter of time before one lets go and then I will upgrade them all to heavy duty like Gorilla or something compairable. Until then, I just do not go too hard on the throttle and so far no problems. It still moves really good on the flats and I have had it in deep mud, water over the hood (by accident) and I can still climb over downed trees, rocks and the like. I just don't hammer it too hard, instead I just let the bike work for itself.

Remember to add spacers depending on your tire height. I have 2" in the front and I went ahead and put 1 1/2" on the back. The rears were not needed but I had them and figured the added stability would come in handy since my son drives it on occasion.

I hope this helps you out.

Mike
