Colorado Trails

Just back from two weeks on the trail north of Gunnison, CO. WHAT A HOOT!! The RZR was FANTASTIC! Highest trail was to the summit of American Flag MT., 12,997 feet asl, lots of steep loose terrain above tree line but the RZR never missed a beat. Lilly Pond trail was straight up with huge rocks in lots of places. The RZR is a real workhorse, pulled three trees at a time down the MT to cut up for firewood with no problem.
I'll post photo's when I figure out how to do it!

Happy trails,

Unhappy Re: Colorado Trails

You know what they say about "Old Dogs" and "New Tricks"! Heck, I can barely turn the computer on!
I've tried but just get frustrated. Wish I could show you the trails tho.

Re: Colorado Trails

nice scenery! I miss the hills in California myself. we don't have mountains here in Michigan just speed bumps. nice touch with the American flag! (too bad the RZR wasn't in the pic though) . I'd go to Kinko's a have that blown up to poster size.
thanks for sharing.-H

Re: Colorado Trails

tent6:
Wake_Roks,

Hope you enjoyed the photo's! Actually the shots are from basicly three different areas in the Taylor River area. To get to the top of American Flag Mountain you go up the Italian Creek trail, an easy ride until the final leg to the top, lots of loose rock but what a view when you get there! The other trail was up Taylor Pass, rough all the way! Slow and easy does it, got about 3/4 of the way up and the creek was blocked by a couple of huge boulders and had to turn back. The other's were at our campsite along the Taylor River down in the valley, absolute seclusion at 10,005'. Plan on doing this again next year!
