Hatfield McCoy Indian Ridge

Picked up our Razor on Oct 2 and took it to Indian Ridge on the 9th. Not much of a break in period but this thing is awsome. After 143 miles in 4 days this thing is all i had hoped for. I tried to attach some pictures but the files are to big.

Re: Hatfield McCoy Indian Ridge

What do you think of the Indian Ridge system as compared to all the other trails? Similiar?
Did you make it over to Pinnacle Creek? Pinnacle Creek

Thanks.

Re: Hatfield McCoy Indian Ridge

The Indian Ridge trails are easier than Bear Wallow and Rockhouse. We did not make it to Pinnacle this time but but plan on taking the Razor to Pinnacle and the rest in the near future.

Re: Hatfield McCoy Indian Ridge

Thanks for the comparison.
I really respect the HMS system and those folks who had the guts to make it a go; as few realize how difficult it is has been to make this happen with true boots-on-the-ground law and order at the sytem itself.

Historically, our national (and many times local) orv leaders have taken a "well, we we just get a bad rap" approach to areas such as the Appalachias...without actually going in there and standing up for what was wrong with the situation (no meaningul enforcement, common-sense safety practices, etc.). They all darn well liked to collect money touting the concept...yet when it came time to crack down on what was actually going on in places like this...they stuttered/stammered and changed the subject darn fast when even asked about it.

This system was built with literally ZERO local club or national leadership-driven support (period)..save a few guys and gals who rode (and later did business) together who were willing to stick their necks out; partner with some often traditional 'enemies' (landowners) in the community and put up with a lot of undeserved crap to make it happen.

Good people who worked hard and deserved what they got...there's no better story out there in motorized recreation at this moment.
