Re: Rubberdown lift installed
Well, I took it out to the dunes yesterday, and gave it a good pounding. Hit the whoops wide open, and jumped it a couple times. All held up well, and no problems. Thanks Rubberdown.

Re: Rubberdown lift installed
Thanks, I dont understand all the shock problems everyone is having. I gaurentee that I have beat mine just as hard, or harder than everyone else, and havent had the springs, or bump stops fail on me. I run this thing wide open through 3ft whoops, and pray that it stays on all 4. I jump it, and stuff it in the biggest mud holes i can find. I have had no problems what so ever, except for a weeping right rear axle seal. Do you think they changed somthing with the shocks?

Re: Rubberdown lift installed
I do the same type of riding, it just after my 2" rubber down install, I wasted my left rear cv joint, I think the 710 miles and 75 hours of this type of riding caught up with me with some wear and tear, now after I fix it and it breaks again, then I will post to all a warning about this lift

Re: Rubberdown lift installed
Let me start out by saying all 4x4 that use cv joint are prone to having this kind of trouble when you lift them and dont put aftermarket axle's on it. I dont care if its a 4x4 jeep or a 4x4 f-250 or even a 4x4 rzr you will be taking a chance at breaking an axle if you put a lift kit on it. And the higher you go the more trouble you will have. the harder you ride the more trouble you will have. If you want to be able to run hard with less trouble you will need to drop $1000 or more into an aftermarket axle's that can rotate with the new angle that the lift kit causes.Even your stock set up will break if you run it hard. when you go more than two inch's you should also get longer a-arms and longer axle's to help take the angle out of the cv joint. that's why some lift kits cost $3000. And if you run a $3000 lift kit hard you can break it. the only differance is you have a better chance at not breaking an axle if you take the angle out of the cv joint. Its a rotating joint and if it binds it will break. you should be glad the joint broke and not the trans.

Re: Rubberdown lift installed
I like that... BTW I've got a F-150 with a total of 8" of lift with the torsions cranked and running 37" Iroks was running 38's, haven't tore an axle out yet. But fabtech gives you a spacer with the kit to make up for some of the angle on the cv's. I did rip the rear carrier into two pieces though.

Re: Rubberdown lift installed
I backed my rzr out of the garage and i think the left rear axle is clicking. I have more lift up front. Also i just put holz racing brace on. maybe i need to check end play on the axle?
