Re: Black Hills UTV Rally

I will be going again this year,i had a blast last year one thing most people deffantly want is goggles it gets pretty dusty with all the riders.Last year we went on a poker run that was 68 or 69 miles long and i had plenty of gas left but its nice to know you have it if you need it.The weather can be hot ,rainy or stormy or all 3 it also cools off at night pretty good some times.

Re: Black Hills UTV Rally

Prizes from a "PREVIOUS" poker run they had earlier this year include-
1st place- Gold watch valued at $100.00
2nd place- $50.00 cash
3rd place- $25.00 plus trophies for all three positions.
They also give a prize for the worst hand-last time it was a new full face helmet. Plus plenty of door prizes.
Please remember these prizes are from a previous event but I would think that the prizes should be simular.

Hands cost $5.00 for one hand..... $12.00 for three hands.

Campfires banned till Aug 18 by Meade county. As long as forest service or Meade county doesn't extend the ban you should be able to have campfires. There will be events in the evening over at Top 50 Rally park so you may not have much time for campfires.

Re: Black Hills UTV Rally

I'll be at the Covered wagon, We found that putting some ice cubes and a washcloth in a ziplock baggie and packing that with you is a must when we stop we look like dirt balls and its kind of refreshing. The trails are very dusty out there! I could rain 2 inches at night and the trails will still be dusty in the AM.

I am looking forward to the night ride the most! Cant wait to try the HID's out in the trees.

I ride out there quite a bit, does anyone know if trail #89 is on the list of rides? Very technical and rocky, you can be on 2 or 3 wheels quite a bit, love it!

Chance, do you still have that Strawberry Shortcake sleeping bag? Can I use since I will be in the tent?
