Lucky Strike Trail Mt. Charleston Nevada

I have been working on placing the legal trails that can ride in So. Nevada. This is Lucky Strike Trail. It is located off Lee Canyon Road as you head up to Mt. Charleston. This is just part of the trail. This section is on BLM Land. There is a section that goes into USFS area that is also legal to ride. I will add that one soon to the post.

I have the Google Earth File here: Lucky Strike

Let me know if this link does not work. It is to my idisk and I am not sure if I have it set up right. When you click on it, it should download the file for you.

No problem if you need any help let me know. Do you have a GS unit that use use. You can take that track and convert it to you GPS (Garmin, Magellan or Lowrance) and follow it on your RZR. That is what I do. If you need help or have questions let me know.

Re: Lucky Strike Trail Mt. Charleston Nevada

This is a pretty neat area. I can ride from my house all the way to the mine or to the top of Angels Peak. My wife and I were up there two weekends ago plowing through the snow. Late spring, try the road to Angels Peak for some beautiful views of the Vegas area. Also, it's usually 10 to 20 degrees cooler up there if you need to cool off in July

Hey Dawgmeat,

What are you driving from you house to the trail. If it is not a street legal vehicle you can get a ticket. I am glad you like the trail.

Re: Lucky Strike Trail Mt. Charleston Nevada

Just be careful all off road trails in the valley are closed by the BLM. Only place open is Charleston NW Nelis NE Sloan SW and El Dorado SE.
