power steering light comes on?

while riding the other day i noticed my power steering light came on in the dash(steering wheel) then went of but comes on and off randomly and notice that the steering get hard to steering also then its good for awhile. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Loose wire somewhere maybe? Check all wires going to the power steering unit

fuse or wires ..... no power to the power steering

There is a whole section in the service manual for power steering. I agree that it sounds like a loose connection. There are several connections that need checked and that is why I'm suggesting looking at the manual. There are connections on the PS unit both power and EPS signal. The system connects to the diagnostic cable. There is also a cable that connects to the speed sensor. There is a 30 amp fuse and EPS relay in the fuse box along with a 120 ohm resistor that may need reseated. Make sure the connections to the battery are secure. Try reseating all the connectors and make sure they are locked.
