It's the same thing that Hunterworks is selling but I got mine from Boatfix for $105.67 and I just bought the on/off switch at Advance Auto Parts. The Volume knob just plugs into tha amp.

Re: Who has a stereo?
Here it is. Pulled power from wench seliniod made wiring short and simple.Through some e-tape on the RCA plugs to protect.

Re: Who has a stereo?
I have Alpine Ipod head unit, Audio Formz wakeboard tower speakers with 6x8 Polk Momo's in each, power by big 600 watt amp in front storage. I was warned this was going to blow my ears out. Have speaker loops on my custom cage that place the speakers in the bed just behind passenger and driver seat. Very suprised it almost gets totally washed out by engine/clutch ... dont get me wrong it is loud as heck sitting and sounds really good but driving with it and helmet on really have to crank it big time to barely hear it. DragonFire exhasut is partially to blame as well as sitting down in bed a bit but still amazing how much it gets cancelled out when driving. Point is I would put speakers in the cab for listening while driving.
I dont have any weatherproofing on the Alpine and its holding up in lots of dust and sand just fine but does not have CD player to worry about. Am using Optima deep cycle battery as also have lots of lighting.
I may be looking into a helmet with built in head sets and com system... the headsets are awesome but no way I am giving up a helmet in this toy. The headphones can cancel the noise, listen to the Ipod, and conference in other people with communications riding with you including passenger so can actually talk back and forth and hear each other as it cuts out the stereo when voice is detected ... so sweet.

Re: Who has a stereo?
How do you wire the overhead system? Do you just run the speaker wire through the roll cage?

That's how I do it.
Once you have the final wiring done and the wires insulated through the cage and holes, spray the openings with black waterproof expandable foam and then slide the grommets into place.

Re: Who has a stereo?
This is what I have. came from boatfix.com I have 4 4 ohm speakers running off of a 2 channel amp thats capable of running 2 ohms. Every thing is waterproof and has a 2 year warranty. The on/ off switch, volume control and mp3 input are in a standard outlet box that I mounted between the seats. Its sounds great and is super loud.Best thing about it is that mp3 players dont skip and you don't have to carry 200 cds.

Re: Who has a stereo?
i had bought a enclosure for my chevy avalanche from a company called Probox. the last time i checked the site they were making roofs w/ speakers, head unit, and dome light built in. not sure what they offer for the rzr but worth a look.
also very nice peeps to deal with!!
just my 2 cents!

Re: Who has a stereo?
I just completed my four speaker sound system, i made my own speaker pods out of 6in plastic pipe and they dont get in the way of the overhead bag, for the best sound look for pods that hang from the rolle cage. anyways polaris audio housings are way over priced.
