DEKA batteries

i've been looking at the Deka batteries.. does anyone have experience with them. talking to a member, he runs a ETX20L which is 310cca and 17.5AH and weighs only 16lbs. i was also thinking of running a etx30l or etx30la which are 400 cca and 26AH and weigh 23lbs.. just wondering if anyone else runs these?

thanks

i will be running a pyle amp and speakers.. winch sometimes.. and polaris fog lights and rear lights.. my stock battery sucks!
my amp has a current comsuption of 5a... my battery light will only come on when i run my fog lights and rear work lights together. (i have them wired to run at the same time)

Re: DEKA batteries

I just added a second battery with an isolator. I still have my stock battery and added a stock battery from an xp for my stereo (plyle 400W and JVC head unit) fits in the extra storeage hole perfect. I wired the stereo and LED lights to run off the second battery with the key off .Before I could only run the stereo a few minutes before the battery wouldn't start the RZR. I also added a digital voltage gauge so I could keep an eye on it. I ran the stereo for over 2 hrs last night and the voltage stayed above 12 v. I wanted to see how long I could play it but got sleepy.lol So I have a whopping 50 bucks in the whole deal. 45 in the isolator and 5 bucks in the battery cable ends. Battery was free(thanks texasrzrrider). like I've said before I'm all about cheap.

Re: DEKA batteries

Deka is Made in USA by East Penn. I've run the ETX30l Extreme Magna Power battery since March '08. Magna & Deka are both made by East Penn and are an AGM-type gel cell with the same specs as the Odyssey.

3 machines, 3 Magna batteries.

Re: DEKA batteries

I'm running the ETX20L and haven't had any problems with it. Battery seems to have good reserve power.

Re: DEKA batteries

I run 2-etx30l. One was great but I have a lot of lighting and radio. Now with 2, ZERO issues what so ever.

Re: DEKA batteries

I was looking at these batteries before i was given a brand new XP battery so I figured I'd give it a try.

Re: DEKA batteries

I put a Deka in my wife's 09 RZR LE after stock went bad about year ago. guess I used the 30 batt size, as it was the size called to fit a Ranger, which is 400cca or so. works great.
