Re: Replacing stock headlights

Unfortunaletly 10000K color temp drastically reduces lumen ouput. If you want the brightest light possible stay in the 4300-5500K range.

I bought these 3 years ago and have ran them without much problems, although a ballast quit after 2 years. I bought another set because they are so cheap, and now I've got a spare ballast and bulbs just in case.

Good point! White sunlight is 5500K. Anything higher or lower will, necessarily, be color-shifted. FWIW..............

Cheers

Re: Replacing stock headlights

By the way they give you double sided tape, it sucks, put my ballast in the compartment under hood,it reaches and out of harms way.

Be careful ordering from orangemika. I ordered Xentec 12000K. When they got here the bulbs she correct but they sent single not bi-xenon ballasts. The ballasts were plastic, not metal. So they were fake reproductions of a good brand. I contacted orangemika to return them, they said sure just send them back and when they get here we will issue a refund. When I sent them back they quit responding to my emails. They contacted ebay and said that i hadnt sent then in.I finally contacted the eBay resolution center and gave them the delivery confirmation number. So eBay issued a refund. So buyer beware with that seller.

Re: Replacing stock headlights

there's a couple guys on my trailblazer forum that have xentec and have had them for years with no issues. I've also heard DDM tuning has pretty good quality HID's in a similar price point to the xentec
