RZR 8" sub box

Here's a sub box I built for a friend for his RZR. He wanted a box that was easy to install and he didn't want to modify his RZR to much to install it. It only required drilling 2 holes in the firewall.

I just made the box. He will do the rest of the install. Not sure when that will happen.

Sweet job. Is it waterproof or weather resistant? If so, I would be very interested in buying one from you.

Re: RZR 8" sub box

We don't have to worry about water in Glamis. Glamis is our home away from home.
Yes, the box is weather resistant. It is sprayed with Dupli-Color Truck Bed Coating. Taken from Dupli-Colors website "Dupli-Color® Truck Bed Coating. It is the first aerosol and premixed, one-step coating for do-it-yourselfers and professionals. Dupli-Color® Truck Bed Coating is a durable, non-skid coating that protects truck beds from impact, scratches, weather and rust."

Re: RZR 8" sub box

Thanks. For my other friend I built a box for a 10" sub with 350w of ALPINE PDX going to it. No rattles there so I don't think this 8" will rattle either.

Spraying the Sub after a weekends riding to clean the rzr off won't damage it whatsoever?

No, it will not.

For 100% water proofing the box can be resined before the Truck Bed Coating.

Can you make me one of these boxes please? If so how much? How much air space do you have for the 8" sub?

Re: RZR 8" sub box

I'm getting .28 cu ft. Some polyfill can be added to "increase" the internal volume.
Yes I can make more of these. My email crnacnac@yahoo.com
