dirtlights.com - Mesa, Arizona - RZR Conversion

The comparison picture is not photoshopped, that is exactly what you get. It is night and day, you will be amazed at the amount of light from the stock housings. Install is about as hard as changing the light bulbs.

I have a set of HIDs from Dirtlights/Steve. The difference between stock and the HIDS is like night and day(no pun intended). The HIDS are amazingly bright and so simple to install a caveman could do it(pun intended).Worth every penny IMO.

Re: Which HIDS to buy

Does anyone have a good picture of where to mount the Ballast? Is there somthing different about the dirtlights kit that prevents the problem others are having with one light not working or starting?

I don't have a picture of it but I placed the ballast(s) on the top portion of the upper radiator mount. Its a flat surface and the ballast sits on it perfectly. I zip tied them in place along with the excess wire harness using existing holes in the metal frame.

Mine are similar to what Guy posted with the exception that I laid my ballasts flat and slightly more to the right on the frame/bracket.

Keep in mind that after the upgrade you will not have "dim" lights.
So passing oncoming vehicles is not going to be a friendly experience.

Re: Which HIDS to buy

I ordered them from Dirtlights on Sun. nite & they were here in 2 days. I installed them yesterday, I drilled 2 holes on the radiator bracket to mount the ballast, Plug & play otherwise.
These HID's are awesome and the ballast are very low profile and sealed perfectly.
I have the S with the pre runner bumper and 2 Kragen 4" Hid's mounted on it as well.

I only made the one pair ... besides ... I am prety sure all the ballast a just a bit different ... so they would not work for every ballast.

Re: Which HIDS to buy

having done both the external ballasts and the plug and play bulbs, and the internal ballasts (like the checker lights) I would say go with the checker lights. I put two of them on my cage and they are way brighter than the two i replace my headlights with.

plus they are way easier to install.
