Re: Mounting a whip

The only place I dune is Silver Lake in Michigan. They require the flag be mounted in front. Their explanation sort of makes sense (Silver Lake is small...you will spot a front-mounted flag coming over a hill sooner).
If you don't have a bumper, there's nowhere to mount the whip--it's all plastic up front. My solution was to make a stiff bracket that mounts to the existing bumper holes & steel support. This requires no mods so it's reversible. It's just a short piece of 1/4" 2x2 angle iron, shaped to look nice.

And yes that's an ordinary air hose quick release on the whip. Since this mount can't fold up I needed a way to remove the whip easily for trailering.

Re: Mounting a whip

e-bay has a few whip mounts listed all the time.
I really like the unit Axia makes but man aluminum is getting pricey.

Where would it clamp on in the "front" of the Razor?? which is where he has to have his whip mounted.

Re: Mounting a whip

The axia alloys clamp would only work on the front of a rzr if it had an aftermarket bumper installed as they clamp around tubing.- mike

By using defferent brackectry you can have your whip (pointing up) mounted on a vertical bar or horizontal bar.
