Re: I can help with any stereo questions......
Tell me about that bar on the back of the machine that the speakers are mounted to!!
I am looking to do a 4 speaker set up- 2 under the dash-possibly 2 boat tower with a marine grade amp and Ipod as source.

Re: I can help with any stereo questions......
the zip tie is holding part of the facotry wires. u want me to weld it? i dont get the smart ass question about a zip tie?
the rear bar is just 1 3/4 tube bent to fit. most tower speakers fit 1 3/4 the best.

Sorry if that came off rude. Not a smart ass question. That's the same place I mounted my head unit.

Doesn't your amp get to hot in there? I was thinking about getting the maier hood so it can get some air in there before I put an amp in there.

Re: I can help with any stereo questions......
Well im gonna try my hand at asking a question.I have the marine jensen stereo that polaris advertises and speakers, and i also have sirius satellite receiver mounted on dash.I use satellite wirelessly so i can quickly put it back in truck when not riding. My problem is that while riding and jamming @high volume,my low battery warning on stereo will eventually start chirping. Can this be fixed by installing a battery with a little more crank amperage or is there something else that needs to be done?I have thought about a more powerful battery anyways to accomodate any other devices i may pursue.Am i on right track or not?

Re: I can help with any stereo questions......
bigger battery also consider a deep cycle battery plus there are alternator kits availible that will charge your battery far better and battery trays are out there as well that allow you to run dual batteries either way you go get a trickle charger and keep it on when ever not riding as your stator really doesnt do a great job at keeping your battery charged all the way its actually almost maxed out with your lights on and cooling fan running if you do alot of slow low rpm ridingso starting out with a battery thats fully charged is a step in the right direction

Re: I can help with any stereo questions......
You can put in a ranger xp battery, and it might take care of your problems.
That would probably be the cheapest route.

Re: I can help with any stereo questions......
Ive been really suprised. I have never seen the low battery light or warning... its cranked up full blast the whole time riding! The amp hasnt ever shut off or got too hot.
I do want to do the maier hood but then water coming in might be a problem..

Re: I can help with any stereo questions......
Ok , my question is >What is a cheap way to put a regular old marine radio and 1 old marine speaker(between the seats, you know the little spot)I have NO wireing exp. I just want some sounds.Do I run staight to the battery or will this screw things up?May be a dumb ass question but I have been called a dumb ass by my wife countless times.
No wiring exp. But I do have access to alot of CNC machines and UHMW (I do have to buy the UHMW)I'm making some neat little items for my RZR , So I need a radio in a Cheap way.

Re: I can help with any stereo questions......
yes you can go straight off the battery as long as you remember to turn the radio off everytime you park id rather go off the ignition so the radio goes on and off with the key theres an extra orange wire with a connector already on it under the dash comming off the 12v outlet its switched with the ignition pretty easy to use it

Re: I can help with any stereo questions......
I think the easiest is using a switch to turn the stereo?amp on and off. I didnt want to mess with my ignition switch and fuse box. affraid I would pop a fuse way out somewhere
One speaker in the middle should be plenty. mount a cheap cd player under the dash and be good to go!
most electronic shop sell marine audio. if not ebay is always a good place.
